Is it co-incidence that one of my most prized possessions is also a dream to style and re-style and re-style again? I think not.
My styling-style changes dramatically from day to day based on my mood at the time. So today, I wanted to experiment with completely re-styling my beloved buffet in 2 different ways. One keeping things really simple and almost under-styled and one… well the complete opposite. It’s a great way to really see what’s working for a space and to mix things up. Even I get stuck in a styling rut from time to time so it’s fun to pull everything away and start from scratch.
Here we go!
Style 1: Understated and simple.

The centre piece for this look is my gold frame mirror, I love this mirror because its so versatile. The only bad thing about it is that it’s seriously heavy and there’s no way I could ever attempt to hang it on the wall. The finishing touches for this look and my floor lamp and some books & magazines.

Style 2: Over. The. Top!

I think this is my favourite one. Ugh I wasn’t going to choose but seriously all the warmth and happiness jumping off my buffet just makes me smile! I sorted through my art collection and chose pieces that pick up on each other colour-wise and ones that fit together nicely. Finished off my my (also beloved) wombat ottoman (not made from real wombat as far as I know….)

There it is! My beloved buffet styled 2 ways!
Which one was your favourite?
Until next time! xx
