As a self confessed interior OBSESSED human, I’m well aware of my quirky (sometimes annoying) habits. One is watching people eating and dropping crumbs on the dining table and continuing to stare at the crumbs until the person notices and re-adjusts their placemat in order to catch aforementioned crumbs… yeah thats not a cute one unfortunately.

My other less confronting quirky habit is moving the furniture in my apartment around regularly, sometimes just to see what something would look like in a new spot and then moving it all back again… (it’s a great home work-out). This compulsion is made a lot easier by having furniture that is flexible and able to be used for different purposes. I think this explains my infatuation with ottomans/benches… Is it a chair? Yes! Is it a side table? Yes! Is it a footstool? Yes! (I could go on…)

I purchased a table a while ago off Gum Tree to use as a desk in the living room, so it obviously had to be cute but it also had to be quite slim so that it didn’t take up too much space in the room. I’ve since no longer needed a desk in the living room and had to decide whether or not to sell the table or… repurpose it!
Guess which one I chose?

I wanted to show you guys how easy it can be to transform the use of a piece of furniture simply be positioning it & styling it differently.
