Shop My Living Room! (part 2)

Phew! Finally.

That week between posts really goes slowly doesn’t it?

Are you ready for part 2 of Shop My Living Room? I know, you’re excited. Last week we covered my sofa, coffee table & my rug. Let’s get stuck into the rest of my living room!

Armchair! | My sofa and armchair are good friends, since they’re made by the same company Timothy Oulton. The shape of this chair is perfect, it just hugs you nice and close while having a small footprint (an essential quality when living in an apartment). I chose to have this made in a chunky grey linen that has a cool blue-ish hue to it. The colour contrasts nicely with the tan leather of my sofa but they both have the same antique gold stud detail which links them together nicely. I feel like this is the most under-rated piece of furniture in my living room and if I could bear to point it at the TV I’m sure it would get sat in more often.

Buffet! | You know how I said last week I didn’t want to commit to a “theme” for my living room? Well I dropped the ball here a bit, this buffet is 100% your quintessential mid century modern piece of furniture. And I LOVE it. I purchased this second hand from a friend who was moving and needed to get rid of it quickly. Needless to say I had that furniture mover booked in immediately. I was scared to buy such a large, heavy piece to place next to my already big heavy sofa but they work together well. The lovely long legs on this buffet give it a feeling of lightness despite it’s size and materiality. Until I had this buffet in my life, I had no idea how much I need to store things in it – I honestly don’t know where I kept all that stuff before!

Ottoman ! | Before the tan leather sofa came into my life, I had a tan leather ottoman. Obviously the sofa took preference over the sofa and he got evicted from the living room. I like to put my feet up when watching the cringe-worthy selection of tv that I regularly tune into so I was on the hunt for a replacement ottoman. Wanting to bring in a pop colour so I opted for this navy blue velvet ottoman from Arro Home. I’m pretty sure I was guided there by a facebook ad or something (I really have to stop clicking on those) and it was perfect because it was 50% off! I couldn’t have planned it any better even if I tried!
